Is hiring a bellydancer expensive?

Hiring our dancers ranges from $75-$300.

The fee all depends on what you are looking for in the show, 

how long the dancer's are to perform, how many dancers are to perform 

and if instructions on bellydance is wanted at your event.  

We have 1 to 5 professional dancers and 13 students available for events 

with solo performances and group performances.

What are all of the options for a Belly Dance performance?

We are here to help make your event spectacular!

We are able to design our sets to fit your event.

Standard Show 

10 – 30 minute solo performance

usually incorporating, zills, veil, isis wings, fan veils, or sword 

and some audience participation

Multiple Sets

We can dance different sets throughout the evening, 

using different costumes, props and music each set.

Sets can be anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes

Multiple Dancers/Troupe

You can opt to have separate solo performances with different dancers

and/or have the dancers dance together!  

Troupe performances can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 1hr.

Standard Show and Lesson

Standard Show then a short group lesson (45 minutes – 1hr) 

the perfect choice for young or older girls birthdays or bachelorette parties!

We will bring hip scarves, veils and accessories to add to the fun!

Do you accept credit cards?

We are unable to accept credit card payments at this time.

Will you travel?

We are willing to travel within Oregon and Washington for events at this time.

Please keep in mind travel expenses will be added to the fee.

What do I get in the performance?

Tons of fun, professional entertainment, glamour, audience interaction, 

and wonderful memories!    

A typical performance includes an exciting entrance piece with riveting rhythm changes performed with finger cymbals,

then a dramatic slow piece includes one or more props (i.e. veil, isis wings, fan veils, sword, feather boa, ostrich feather fans).   

Shows usually end with a fast drum piece.

If you'd like, the dancers will invite the guest or guests of honor up to dance with them 

(always in a tasteful, fun manner) to an upbeat song,

and get the audience engaged in the performance.

How long is the performance?

Through years of experience, we have found that the absolute best length

for a belly dance performance is twenty to thirty minutes. 

If your event requires longer than a twenty to thirty minute performance,

Is tipping required and what is the proper way to tip?

Tipping is not required, but it is greatly appreciated.

Tipping is a way of expressing appreciation for the dancer. 

We do not accept tips anywhere on the body. 

We will have a basket available for tips.

What types of events hire bellydancers?

Birthday parties, anniversaries, retirement parties, grand openings, corporate events, 

children's parties, cultural events, just to name a few.

Do you perform for Charity Functions or Fundraisers?

You bet we do!!!

I am looking for a performer for a bachelor party, are your belly dancers available?

Under NO circumstance will we perform at bachelor parties or at parties that are all male.

We do, however, do BACHELORETTE parties. 

We can arrange to do a performance for the bride and her bridesmaids 

and then teach a class for all the girls to learn to bellydance. 

It's a break from the normal "take the bride-to-be to the club" and everyone loves it!

 I am looking for a belly dancer to be a surprise for the bride and groom at the wedding, 

could I hire one of your dancers?

No, we only perform at weddings with the prior consent (and happy anticipation) of the bride and groom.

Can I get up and dance with the dancer during her performance?

Usually the dancers have a set show with choreography and interruptions like that are not encouraged. 

Towards the end of the set you can join in. But please be respectful and "bellydance" with them. 

Do not grab them, touch them, or be vulgar.

Why is it an additional charge to stay after the performance?

 It is necessary to compensate the dancers for the time that they are not able to book another gig 

if they are to remain at your event whether they are performing or not. 

It is important to make sure you are ready for your performance at the agreed time 

so that they can adhere to their strict performance line-up. 

Remember, you are paying for years of dance training, professional attitude, 

speciality costumes, extensive choreography and practice, music, make up 

and hair preparation, driving time, gas, mileage and basic business operating expenses.

Can you perform tonight?

Sometimes we can accommodate last minute requests, 

but we are very busy and usually booked about 4-6 weeks in advance. 

Advance notice allows us the time to personalize to your specific event.

Please try to plan ahead and give us as much notice as possible. 

This will increase your odds of us being available for your event.

What else do I need to know?

Please tell a member of C.G.B.D. or Dezadera who the contact person is 

and who will take the dancers cd and direct her to the dancing area.

What type of area does the dancer need to do a show?

We are accustomed to dancing in many different environments 

from small living rooms to huge theatrical stages.  

Having a clean and clear “stage area” of at least 15 sq feet is ideal, 

but we can make anything work.  

Please tell us the material of the floor surface. 

We can dance on most types of flooring however if you intend the show to be outdoors 

please specify so proper foot wear can be worn.

This information will all be discussed during your consultation.

What information does the dancer need to perform?

 Please tell a member of C.G.B.D or Dezadera what type of event this is, 

as this will help in selecting music. 

We have a vast range of Belly Dance music including 

Classical Egyptian, Modern Arabic Pop, Remixes, Turkish, and Greek.  

We will bring the custom cd to your event. 

Please have a stereo or sound system that will play burned cds. 

We also have MP3 connectors for large and small systems. 

If your system has these connections please let us know.

Your sound system must be loud enough to drown out any conversation 

and must be audible in all corners of the room. 

 

BOOMBOXES AS A LAST RESORT PLEASE!

Please give the performer an accurate arrival and performance time.

Some events require a deposit when booking C.G.B.D. or Dezadera.
